Reviews of the Miley Cyrus - Bangerz (20):
#45 over here, so they definitely started the sequence from 0, still, this is one of the greatest releases from RSD, printed numbered as it should. Taylor Swift ones with that hand numbered were a scam, my copy isn't even numbered, and way too many copies to be limited I think, it kind of takes the limited edition value away
I remember when a couple of folks scoffed at me for picking this out of the bin on RSD. jokes on them.Great sound, fun album.
Tyler Is Not Here
#00107 here - sounds great - i play it at my vinyl shows alot :)
Mine says 01901, fantastic sound quality! ! ! ! !
Not sure how it stacks up to the picture disc edition, but this pressing is surprisingly good.
They both sound great, I will say the picture disc plays louder than the colored.
I agree with you. I have the picture disc edition and it's heavy and the sound quality is pretty perfect. All songs with good bass.
Pink version is 150g while the Picture disc is said to be 180g. Not sure if that makes a difference.
The sound quality of the picture disc is also very, very good. I actually find the picture disc to have a deeper and warmer sound than this release.
The picture disc pressing is actually quite good as well (really deep bass, clear sound)!
Trash Obsession
My copy says 1881. In it's defense, it does sound great.
...how is it possible that this release is limited to 1300 copies but the copy shown in the images above is numbered 1489?
Wooden Purple Romeo
It's also possible that there are 1300 of these but the numbering is not sequential after a bad batch, etc.
My copy is #1863 so it's unlikely that this is limited to 1300 - having said that, it does seem to be pretty limited.
Not to make this more confusing, but my US copy is numbered 220.
All good explanations, and it could easily be an innocent mistake. This is a very good, color pressing. I have no complaints, and I'm not even close to a flipper. That said, this was just one of a few albums at 2017 RSD that seemed to press more copies than originally published. A trend I hope does not continue.
My RSD version is #33, so numbering to include picture discs doesn't hold up.
Risky Strong Dromedary
Like rendevous said, this was also available in other countries for RSD (I know AUS got it for sure!), so maybe that explains it? Also, another theory is they started the numbering from the amount pressed/sold as picture discs? Probably not the case but just a possibility... ¯_(ツ)_/¯
My guess is they pressed more originally and 1300 was the number of them that turned out okay enough to sell (maybe some of the discs or packaging got messed up at the plant). 1300 is a weird pressing number for a RSD Miley Cyrus reissue. I bet it was originally at least /2000.
1300 for the US and maybe more for the rest of the world!
